Projects - Fistral beach surf centre

Fistral beach in Newquay - one of the best surfing beaches in Europe and home to the British Surfing Association - is to get a £1.8 million new surf centre.

It should be ready by May, will contain a load of facilities (Fistral was virtually uninhabited before) and hopefully attract lots of visitors to the area.

I figured that since I was about two minutes walk from the council offices and 10 minutes from Fistral and a journalist it would make a lot of sense to do a load of work on it and then sell articles on the new centre when it is completed.

Of course I haven't done anywhere near as much work on it as I would like but that's par for the course. I have however been down there twice with my camera and so the best pics are below (click on them for bigger versions). I'll add to this as it progresses and hopefully actually get round to interviewing all the relevant people soon.
